Clubhouse

Out of respect for members and guests, please be mindful of other's needs for social distancing. While not required, the AGMS Board of Directors continues to support the use of face masks for  personal protection. 

 

Austin Gem and Mineral Society owns and operates a clubhouse located at 6719 Burnet Lane in Austin Texas.

The clubhouse facilities include a meeting room, kitchen, bathrooms, office, library, and workshop areas.

COVID-19 Provisions

The following clubhouse requirements and limitations are in effect until expressly removed by the Board. These limitations are made in consideration of local and state requirements as they relate to the needs and activities of AGMS.

WORKSHOP:

  • Five members max plus supervisor. Supervisor will designate which machines will be available based on the needs of members present.
  • Face shields must be worn as well as masks.
  • Members must clean & sanitize equipment they have used.

SAW SHED:

  • One member plus supervisor. Note Saw Shed and the Cabbing Room have the same supervisor.
  • Face shields must be worn as well as masks.
  • Members must clean & sanitize equipment they have used.

FACETING ROOM:

  • Three members plus supervisor.
  • Face shields are NOT required.
  • Members must clean & sanitize equipment they have used.

LIBRARY:

  • Two members.

Please note that if a person is cabbing and using the saw shed, that person is counted for both the workshop room and saw shed. However, multiple members can simultaneously cab and saw by physically rotating time in Saw Shed.

Equipment, tables, chairs and use areas must be sanitized before and after use. AGMS will provide cleaning supplies. Members are encouraged to bring their own supplies.
